1. Settle In
Close the door. Light a candle. Take a deep breath and say, "I am in the presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."
Take at least seven deep breaths, letting your mind and body grow still. God is looking on you with love, right now. Rest in that gaze until you are satisfied.

2. Notice.
When you are ready, consider the question, "How do I come to prayer today?"
Notice what surfaces in your heart, body, or mind. Write one sentence naming what you notice.

3. Consider
Next, consider, "What do I desire from God in prayer today?"
Again, write one sentence naming that desire.

4. Explore
Explore the day's content in the weekly resource.
Move slowly and notice your inner responses to the material. At times, you might find delight or joy. At other times, resistance or unsettledness.
All is welcome.

5. Talk
Talk to God about what surfaced as you explored the content.
What lingered? What rankled? Speak to the Trinity freely, as you would to a trusted friend.
Allow silence to listen to God’s response.

6. Close
Close your time of prayer by considering and answering the following questions in one sentence:
-
How did I experience God?
-
How did God experience me?
After you write your answer, pause and enjoy a moment of quiet with God before ending your time in prayer.
