
About Laura
Laura Kauffman, MA, is the author of The Meeting Place: Quiet Spiritual Practices for Dwelling with God in Prayer (Baker Books, 2026) and three collections of poetry. As a poet, writer, and spiritual director, she attends to the mystery of God’s presence in everyday life. Laura earned a master’s in mental health counseling and a spiritual direction certificate from Sustainable Faith. She is also a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) Sacred Art of Writing program at Western Theological Seminary, where she explores the intersections of theology, language, and spiritual formation. Her poems have appeared in The ClayJar Review, Fathom Magazine, and other literary and faith-based venues. Laura lives in the rolling hills of Iowa with her husband, three sons, two dogs, and countless books.
